Swate Locals Only Braid is made in America by locals, for locals

We’ve partnered with a locally run operation right here in the USA to manufacturer Locals Only braid in small made to order batches, exactly to our spec. The braid is constructed using a dry-spun method, braiding 8 carriers of pre-colored and un-coated Polyethylene strands of fiber. The colors are infused at the time of fiber creation, meaning that our colors won’t fade over time, and you won’t find any colored coating coming off on your guides or hands after use. The line has virtually no memory, no stretch, has high abrasion resistance, and is quiet through the guides. We like up to 65lb for punching through hydrilla in Texas, and 10 or 15lb for bombing small finesse baits up North with a fluorocarbon leader.

Commando - our stealthy and natural Dark Olive green with black accents. We added some black strands into the braid to create some contrast and natural variation within the line. We feel this helps it blend in with the natural variations and textures of vegetation underwater, and it provides a little darker contrast for visibility of your line above water. Keep in mind, we aren’t scientists or biologists. We are fisherman and product geeks. This idea made logical sense to us, so we made it happen on this design and couldn’t be happier with how it came out!

Iguana Green – We made this one for us, not the fish. Scientifically, bright green is the most visible color in daylight to the human eye. Our Iguana Green is a Hi-Viz solid lime green colored braid, which makes it ideal for tracking your line on the cast or sighting a bite on your line before you can feel it at the rod. We like to run this on our spinning rods when fishing weightless presentations where the bite is otherwise undetectable, but also have found it great for casting, trolling, and drifting applications.
